Begley, Price named Children’s Day royalty for S&P Festival

Remington Begley and Emily Price were crowned Louisiana Shrimp and Petroleum Festival Children’s Day King and Queen Sunday following a random drawing held at the Bayou Vista Spray Park.
They were presented during the Louisiana Shrimp and Petroleum Festival adult coronation court on Saturday at the Morgan City Municipal Auditorium.
Begley is the 11-year-old son of Leah and Phillip Begley of Morgan City. He is the grandson of Rose and Stephen Arceneaux of Woodland, Texas, Robert and Liz Gussman of Morgan City, Coreen and Terry Dearstone of Morgan City, and Bob and Maeva Begley of Kingsport, Tennessee.
The sixth-grader is a student at Morgan City Junior High School. He enjoys hunting, marksmanship and is in the Boy Scouts.
Price is the 12-year-old daughter of Tahitia Price and Jason Price, both of Morgan City. She is the granddaughter of Glen and Betty Swain, and Greg and Ginger Price, all of Morgan City.
The seventh-grader is a student at Central Catholic High School. She enjoys softball, basketball and bowling.
Sponsor of Children’s Day is the family of Marion Bergeron and the late Oliver Bergeron.
