Cocktails in the Garden set Nov. 14 at in Baton Rouge

BATON ROUGE — The LSU AgCenter Botanic Gardens at Burden will present Cocktails in the Garden, an evening of entertainment and dancing, from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m. on Nov. 14, according to an AgCenter news release.
“This year’s theme is Celebrate the Golden Age of Hollywood, so come dressed as your favorite star or character —or come as you are,” said Botanic Gardens Director Jeff Kuehny.
The Rose Garden will provide an elegant backdrop as guests enjoy a selection of delectable dishes and specialty cocktails prepared by Baton Rouge’s favorite restaurants and bars, the news release stated.
Ned Fasullo and The Fabulous Big Band will provide music for dancing in the Pavilion, and life-sized cutouts or people dressed as stars of Hollywood’s heyday will be available for picture taking.
General admission tickets are $40 and are available online at www.EventBrite.com by putting “Cocktails in the Garden” in the search box on the website. Admission at the door is $60. VIP tickets for $50 include early-bird admission at 6:30 and additional music by Don Gros along with access to the Orangerie lounge and bar.
Attendees must be over 21 years old.
Proceeds benefit the Burden Horticulture Society’s educational and outreach programing at the gardens.
