Franklin pageants slated on Nov. 14

Nov. 1 is the deadline to enter pageants being held in Franklin on Nov. 14.
The Miss Franklin pageant has two categories, Teen Miss for ages 13-16 and Miss for ages 17-23. The Miss Franklin Children’s Royalty Pageant has multiple divisions for girls and boys.
Those entering the Miss and Teen Miss Franklin pageant must reside in St. Mary Parish, never been married and never been pregnant. The winner must be able to travel across the state as the pageant’s ambassador.
Orientation and rehearsal will be at 2 p.m. Nov. 1 at the Franklin O’Neil Recreation Center at 505 Haifleigh Street in Franklin.
Entry fee is $50. The pageant will be held at the Teche Theatre.
The winner will receive a rhinestone crown, trophy, custom sash and the Miss winner will receive an educational scholarship.
The Miss Franklin Children’s Royalty Pageant will be held the Franklin Recreation Center.
Boys’ and girls’ divisions include 0-11 months, 12-24 months, 3-4 years and 5-7 years. Girls ages 8-10 are eligible for Deb. Miss and ages 11-12 for Pre-Teen Miss.
A mandatory rehearsal will be held at 6 p.m. Nov. 13 at the Franklin Recreation Center. The pageant will begin at 1 p.m. Nov. 14 and check-in begins at noon.
Entry fee is $25. An optional photogenic contest is an additional $10.
