Homebuyer’s class to begin Aug. 18

The St. Mary Community Action Agency if offering free classes to anyone interested in becoming a home owner.
Classes are held at 6 p.m. every Monday, starting Aug. 18, at the Community Action Agency office at 1407 Barrow St. in Franklin. Those who complete the five-class session receive a certificate as proof to lenders that they have had training in how to be a responsible buyer and homeowner.
Topics include how to shop for the right home, understanding your credit report, types of mortgage loans, buying vs. renting, budgets, savings and more.
