Parsiola enjoys pleasant surprise

“I don’t know if the wind blew it there or if a bird dropped a seed,” said Phyllis Parsiola of the surprise tomato plant growing in a crack in the cement on the side of her patio. She didn’t have any tomato plants growing in her yard last year or this year until the wildling made its appearance between her patio and walkway. Parsiola hasn’t bothered with fertilize either. The only care she has given the plant is to prop a crate next to it for support. “Oh my God,” she said. “It has fruit all over it!”
