Siracusa is speaker at Patterson Garden Club meeting

Patterson Garden Club held its monthly meeting Jan. 20 at the home of Iris Roy.
After a brief business meeting, Catherine Siracusa, St. Mary Parish Black Bear Conflict officer, gave a presentation on “Black Bear Safety in St. Mary Parish.” She shared stories about the bears along with a slide presentation.
The garden club committee is in charge of updating all of the club’s Arbor Day plantings and markers. Lost trees will be replaced a few at a time. A new dedication will not be held this year.
President Sandra Marshall was hostess and Linda Thomas was co-hostess.
The next meeting will be held Feb. 10. New members are welcome to attend.
