October birthdays and anniversaries were recognized during the St. Mary AARP October meeting.
St. Mary AARP holds Oct. meeting
St. Mary AARP Chapter 4435 held its regular meeting Oct. 5 at the St. Mary Senior Citizens Center in Morgan City.
Some 250 members and guests were treated to a meal of meat loaf and gravy, creamed potatoes, sweet peas and dessert prepared by the Myrt and Mac McNemar cooking team.
Meal sponsors were Nick LaRocca and David Hanagriff. They were also guest speakers. Also speaking was Jacki Ackel, representing the Red Ribbon campaign.
All candidates for the upcoming St. Mary AARP Board of Directors elections also addressed the membership.
Entertainment for the evening was provided by the AARP Dance Troupe and “The Men in Black.”
