Pet Show results

St. Mary 4-H held a pet show Nov. 12 at the Blevins Building in Franklin. The show was divided into three divisions: dogs, cats and any other pets, though there were no cat entries. Judges for the show were Ashton Landry, Robert Soprano and Camelia Soprano. Results are: Dogs Prettiest — first place Celia Bishop, Hanson Memorial; second place Gavin Romero, B.E. Boudreaux Middle; and third place Bryson Trahan, Centerville High. Smallest — first Nathan Dominque, Bayou Vista Elementary; second Gabby Carbin, BVES; and third Bali Blakeman, Hattie Watts Elementary. Largest — first Carson LeBlanc, Berwick Elementary and second Raven Gary, Hanson. Longest tail — first Carson LeBlanc, BES; second Katelyn Brown, BVES; and third Raven Gary, Hanson. Shortest tail — first Marlee Price, Glencoe Charter; second Nathan Dominque, BVES and third Celia Bishop, Hanson. Best dressed — first Nathan Dominique, BVES; second Gabby Carbin, BVES and third (tie) Bali Blakeman, Hattie Watts and Katelyn Brown, BVES. The contest requires 4-H’ers to prepare a homemade dish from scratch that meets the requirements in each category. Judges for this year’s contest were Bella Robison, Jessica Randazzo, Corrie Uze, Catherine Siracusa, Ian Francis, Kathy Landry, Juanita Clements, Thu Bui, Kitty Courts, Angie Punch, Sherry Pinell, Joe’l Pellerin and Jimmy Flanagan. Results are: Eggs Appetizers and salads — first place Jacob Rogers, Hanson Memorial; and second place Makayla Theriot, Bayou Vista Eleme-ntary. Main dish — first Sara LeBlanc, Raintree Elementary; second Nickolas Bergeron, Centerville High; and blue ribbon Braxton Hay, LaGrange Elementary. Desserts — first Mollie Plessala, St. Mary Community Club; second Grace Faucheux, Hanson; and blue ribbons Hannah Fryou, Wyandotte, Victoria LeBlanc, Raintree and Tyler Green, Cen-terville.
