‘Battle on the Basin’ slated for Sept. 6-7

The Morgan City Volunteer Fire Department will be presenting the 2014 Championship Boat Races by Deep South Racing Association, “Battle on the Basin,” Sept. 6 and 7, at the Russo Boat Landing on La. 70 in Morgan City beginning at 11 a.m. each day.
Food booths will be selling various food and non-alcoholic beverages.
Admittance will be $10 for adults, $5 for children and $10 for each ice chest per day.
The fire department provides an extrication team for the area of Calumet Bridge to Patterson and Morgan City to the Amelia Bridge.
The money raised will be used to help support the fire department.
