MidSouth Bank announces promotion, hirings

LAFAYETTE — MidSouth Bank officials recently announced a promotion to the position of assistant vice president-Collections and Ombudsman manager as well as multiple hirings.

Bank officials have promoted Marcia Angelle, while they hired Tammy Rowan as banking center manager in Mesquite, Texas, JoAnne B. Jimenez as bank officer/banking center manager in Fort Worth, Maureen Dunham as a commercial loan officer in Baton Rouge and Karen Clayton as banking center manager in Rockwall, Texas, and York Rasco as a banking center manager in Baton Rouge.

Angelle, who has been with MidSouth Bank for 11 years, works out of the bank’s main office on Versailles Boulevard in Lafayette.

A Breaux Bridge native, Angelle manages the bank’s Collections Department and its two ombudsmen.

To assist customers who consistently overdraw their accounts, MidSouth Bank in March created an ombudsman program that helps customers properly maintain and monitor their accounts in order to avoid excessive overdraft fees.

Angelle has 30 years of collections experience, including 15 years in legal collections.

She has attended numerous collections and legal seminars and has completed American Bankers Association courses.

Rowan is MidSouth’s new banking center manager at its Mesquite location on N. Galloway Avenue.

A 28-year veteran of the banking industry, she is in charge of the banking center’s day-to-day operations and also will work to develop new business in the Dallas-Fort Worth market.

Rowan joined Jefferson Bank’s Mesquite location in 2005 as branch manager.

Earlier this summer, MidSouth Bank acquired all five Jefferson Bank locations in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

Rowan began her banking career in 1983 as a teller at Mesquite National Bank and later worked for Wells Fargo and TownBank before joining Jefferson Bank.

Jimenez has joined MidSouth Bank’s Fort Worth location on E. 15th Street as bank officer/banking center manager.

Jimenez, who has 30 years of banking and financial experience, is in charge of the day-to-day operations of the banking center and also will work to develop new business in the Dallas-Fort Worth market.

She joined Jefferson Bank’s Fort Worth location four years ago and most recently was bank Officer/banking center manager.

Before joining Jefferson Bank, Jimenez worked as a senior private banker for Northern Trust Bank for seven years.

As a commercial loan officer, Dunham will service the banking needs of middle market businesses in the Baton Rouge metro area.

She is based out of the bank’s Towne Center location at 6919 Corporate Blvd.

Dunham has 16 years of banking experience and most recently was employed by Regions Bank in Baton Rouge where she served as private banking relationship manager for the past six years.

A Capital City native, Dunham has an extensive résumé of community service, currently holding membership in the Women’s Council of Greater Baton Rouge and the Estate & Business Planning Council of Baton Rouge. She is a former treasurer of Forum 35, speaks to community groups about identity theft and continues to serve as a volunteer for Habitat for Humanity, Junior Achievement and Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank.

Clayton, who is the new banking center manager at MidSouth’s Rockwall location on Ridge Road, has 20 years of banking experience. She is in charge of the day-to-day operations of the banking center and also will work to develop new business in the Dallas-Fort Worth market.

Clayton lives in Royse City, Texas, and joined Jefferson Bank’s Rockwall location a year ago. Most recently, she has served as vice president/branch manager.

Before joining Jefferson Bank, Clayton worked as vice president/branch manager at First International Bank for 13 years and also spent six years at Bank of America.

She completed the Western School of Intermediate Banking and Western School of Commercial Lending in 2008 and is certified in electronic payments.

Rasco is the new banking center manager at MidSouth’s Siegen Road location.

He is in charge of the day-to-day operations of the location and also will work to develop new business throughout the Baton Rouge market.

Rasco has worked at Regions Bank for four years as branch operations manager and has five years of mortgage origination experience.

He grew up in Lake Charles and has a business degree from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.

Rasco also is a member of Forum 35, a Baton Rouge-based community organization that works to inspire young professionals to become involved with philanthropic organizations and activities.
