‘First Thursday’ tomorrow; second city shopping event

Franklin Main Street’s “First Thursday” event will be themed “Back to School” tomorrow.
It will also be Chic and Shabby Collections’ first anniversary.
Shoppers and visitors are invited to Chic and Shabby Collections from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. for refreshments, door prizes, music and a chalk paint demonstration.
Also, Chez Hope will host tours of its facility.
Business owners who are not located in the downtown district and would like to participate in First Thursdays should contact Chez Hope (337-828-4200) for a space inside or outside of the building. The spaces are offered on a first-come-first-served basis.
Merchants will be open until at least 6 p.m. and there will be specials and refreshments. Joe’s on the Bayou will continue the festivities by providing musical entertainment by Chera Sterling from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
