Benefit planned Saturday for cancer patient Suire

A benefit to raise money to assist Morgan City cancer patient Jill Suire is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday at the Bayou Vista Community Center.
Suire has been undergoing treatment at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston since October 2013.
A special account has been opened at MidSouth Bank, 1015 Brashear Ave., Morgan City. Make checks payable to Inez Hudson/Jill Suire Cancer.
Suire has two children and has worked in the nursing field in the Morgan City area for 22 years.
Entertainment will be by Hal Bruni and Haggard Stallion.
T-shirts will be on sale for $12, along with food.
Tickets for the raffle will be sold for $5 each and the drawing is scheduled at 3:30 p.m. Prizes include round-trip airline tickets to anywhere in the U.S., Canada, Mexico or the Caribbean; a 55-inch Vizio Smart flat screen television; and a airline ticket up to $500.
