Berwick council to consider parking lot damages

Berwick town leaders will meet Tuesday to consider enforcement of the private property damages portion of the Progressive Waste Solutions contract.
An apartment complex owner on Jones Street made a complaint to the town that the garbage company is tearing up her parking lot where the dumpster is located, Chief Administrative Officer Newell Slaughter said.
Also on the agenda are introduction of ordinances setting millage and drainage rates for fiscal year 2014 and a call for a public hearing on placement of a church in a residential zoning area on Fourth Street.
The meeting is slated for 7 p.m. at town hall and is open to the public.
