Cajun Classique, a five-day wooden boat cruise down Bayou Teche, began in Breaux Bridge and finished up at Oaklawn Manor in Franklin last weekend. This is the second cruise to Franklin and was intended to end at the Bayou Teche Wooden Boat Show but the show was canceled due to the weather. The Cajun Classique event is sponsored by the Southwest Chapter of the Antique & Classic Boat Society, in association with Bayou Teche Experience. Participants came from across the United States, and braved the weather as they moved down Bayou Teche, stopping at communities along the way, sight-seeing and enjoying the Teche Country experience. Former Gov. Mike Foster was there to meet them at the end of their cruise Friday afternoon.
