Contest entrants can win free rides at festival

Entries are being accepted now for the Cajun Coast Visitors & Convention Bureau shoe decorating contest. First prize in each of four age divisions is a ride bracelet for the 81st annual Louisiana Shrimp and Petroleum Festival.
Divisions are Group I: Ages 3-5, Group II: Ages 6-9, Group III: Ages 10-13 and Group IV: Ages 14-18.
Entries must be brought to Cajun Coast Visitors & Convention office, 900 Dr. Martin Luther King Blvd., Morgan City LA 70380 before Aug. 18.
Winners will be contacted via telephone as well as an announcement on social media Tuesday, Aug. 30. Winners must pick up their prizes by 5 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 31.
Pay-one-price bracelet times at the festival are 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 1 and again noon to 4 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday, Sept. 5.
All entries will be on display at the visitor center throughout the festival.
Participants will be responsible for picking up their entries on Tuesday, Sept. 6, before 5 p.m.
