Early voting ends today

Voters have until 6 p.m. today to cast their ballots in absentee voting for the Nov. 4 election.
Through Monday, 2,328 St. Mary Parish voters cast their ballots, according to Registrar of Voters Jolene Holcombe.
On Monday, 474 people in the parish voted early with 215 votes cast in Franklin and 259 cast in Morgan City, according to the registrar of voters report.
As of Monday, 1,199 Democrats have voted; 776 Republicans have voted; and 353 no party voters have cast ballots. A total of 1,662 white voters have cast ballots; 624 black voters have cast ballots; and 42 voters of other races have cast ballots. Of the voters, 1,089 were men and 1,239 were women.
Early voting is conducted at the registrar’s office on the third floor of the courthouse and at the registrar’s branch office in Morgan City at 301 Third St. Voters may cast ballots early in either office regardless of home addresses.
