FFH announces new contract physician
The Franklin Foundation Hospital Board of Commissioners has announced a new contract with Dr. Kristi Prejeant.
Dr. Prejeant is a general surgeon who lives in Centerville with her family. Dr. Prejeant will start her practice at Franklin Foundation Hospital Medical Office Building, located at 200 Medical Drive, on April 4. Dr. Prejeant currently has a private practice in Morgan City but will be available in Franklin as well.
“We are happy to have Dr. Prejeant join the FFH family,” hospital board chairman Eugene Foulcard said. “By bringing Dr. Prejeant on-board, it means that FFH will have total surgical coverage, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 52 weeks a year. Dr. Prejeant and Dr. Buechter will rotate practice weeks allowing FFH to have that full coverage. Patients in our service area will be able to receive General Surgery services whenever needed without having to leave the community.”
“I’m happy to expand my practice to the Franklin area,” Prejeant said. “I look forward to working with all the medical staff in the community to meet the needs of our local residents. My family and I have lived in the area for 5 years and we love South Louisiana.”
For all inquiries or to make an appointment to see Dr. Prejeant, call 337-828-5099. Dr. Prejeant offers general surgery services but also includes: laparoscopic (minimally invasive); abdominal; breast; hernia; endoscopy; colonoscopy and much more.
