Franklin’s next ‘First Thursday’ set Aug. 6

The next First Thursday event, “Back to School,” will be Aug. 6.
The merchants will be open until at least 6 p.m. and there will be specials and refreshments. Joe’s on the Bayou will provide musical entertainment by Chera Sterling from 6-8 p.m.
“This is a good time for new teachers and new students to meet the merchants and get to know some of their new neighbors,” Mayor Raymond Harris said. “Also, people who have lived here for years can come and welcome their neighbors to Franklin.”
