Guidry, Pitman will be in runoff for judgeship

Lewis Pitman and Eddie Guidry finished in a virtual tie in Saturday's primary election for a vacant judgeship in the 16th Judicial District

Both candidates drew 36 percent of the vote according to complete but unofficial retursn. "Eddie" Guidry had 13,215 votes, and Pitman had 13,120 votes. They'll meet in a Nov. 21 runoff.

Nicholas "Nick" LaRocca had 10,240 votes, or 28 percent.
