M C Bank tellers participated in February Heart Month. From left, Joyce Harrelson, Tammy Johnson, Cindy Lacy, Maria Sheehan and Edna Landry are just a few of the tellers at M C Bank who took on the challenge to sell paper hearts and “Red Dress Pins,” the signature symbol for the American Heart Association’s “Go Red For Women” program. Proceeds of the heart and pin sales went toward the American Heart Association’s mission to educate the community. According to Frances Dupre, M C Bank’s human resources/marketing director and American Heart Association committee member, “Cardiovascular disease including heart disease and stroke is the No. 1 killer in St. Mary Parish. Statistics show 25 percent of all deaths in Louisiana are from cardiovascular disease.”
