Holy Cross begins 50-year celebration

Holy Cross Catholic Church in Morgan City kicked off its 50th anniversary celebration with a Mass Sunday celebrated by Archbishop Gregory Aymond of the Archdiocese of New Orleans, followed by a meal.

The Rev. Noas Kerketta, Holy Cross associate pastor; Deacon Andrew Dragna, deacon at the church; Aymond; and the Rev. Danny Poché, the church’s pastor; exited the church following Sunday’s Mass.

Archbishop Gregory Aymond of the Archdiocese of New Orleans visits with Holy Cross parishioners, Johnny and Mary Lou Conrad, at the meal following Mass. In each month of 2014, one of the church’s former pastors is to return to the church to celebrate Mass.
