I, Wendie Hotard, am announcing my candidacy for the office of constable, Ward 6. This Ward 6 encompasses all of Stephensville and Belle River area, which is located in Lower St. Martin. I’m a 25-year resident of Lower St. Martin Parish and have been married to Johnny Hotard for 33 years. We have two daughters, Lindsay and Lacie. My parents are Maggie and Charles (Dickie) Gibson Jr. and the late Alice C. Gibson.
I have been employed with the St. Martin Water and Sewer Commission for six years and have served as Elections commissioner for the past four years. I’m also a member of the Sacred Heart/St. Rosalie Catholic Church and a member of the Association of Administrative Professionals.
My experience working with the St. Martin Water and Sewer Board has allowed me to work side by side with St. Martin Parish Government, Assessor’s Office, Sheriff’s Office, Clerk of Court and Registrar of Voters. I also prepared court documents as well as attending court with my previous employers First Franklin Financial and St. Mary Finance.
My work schedule allows me to be available when needed to serve court appointed documents and open court during court sessions.
I’m committed to making your voice heard and want to play an active role in making our community a safer place to raise children and run businesses. I will work diligently with the St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office and the justice of the peace to conduct the duties of my office.
If you share my visions for change in our community, please vote 67, Wendie Hotard, on Nov. 4. Together we can make a meaningful difference for our community. I am ready, willing and able to serve the people of Lower St. Martin Parish.
