Library receives grant

The St. Mary Parish Library System has been awarded a grant from the Dollar General Literacy Foundation for their 2014 Summer Reading Program, “FIZZ, BOOM, READ!” At left, Connie Durocher, manager of the West End Branch Library in Baldwin, receives the $3,000 award from Dollar General Store Manager Angie Aufieri. The grant was written by Sue Davis Stouff and Durocher to benefit the annual Summer Reading Program, which is in full swing at all seven branches throughout the parish until July 11.
