Staff Report

A 26-year-old Berwick man, who had been on The Daily Review’s Most Wanted list since December 2013, was among three arrested in a drug bust Monday in Morgan City, St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert said in a news release.
The following people were arrested at 7:39 p.m. Monday.
—Cody P. Pearce, 25, of the 100 block of Rose Street in Berwick, was charged with possession of synthetic cannabinoids second offense, abuse of toxic vapors, and on a warrant for second degree battery.
—Brandon L. Boudreaux, 28, of the 3000 block of Lizabeth Drive in Morgan City, was charged with possession of synthetic cannabinoids and abuse of toxic vapors.
—Kimber N. Thompson, 26, of the 300 block of Pacific Street in Berwick, is charged with possession of synthetic cannabinoids, abuse of toxic vapors, and possession of a Legend Drug (Clinosil) without a prescription.
Narcotics detectives conducting an investigation at a motel in Morgan City located synthetic cannabinoids and Clinosil pills in one of the rooms. Thompson and Pearce were jailed with no bail set. Boudreaux was released on a summons to appear in court June 12.
The warrant for Pearce’s arrest stems from an investigation into a report of a 16-year-old male who was punched in the face and sustained a broken jaw as a result of the attack, Hebert said.
The investigation revealed that the incident occurred Nov. 7 when the victim was visiting a friend’s residence on Hunting Road in Ricohoc. Pearce, who was also at the residence, pushed the victim and then punched the victim, the sheriff said.
