Many events held

It was a busy week and weekend in the city. At top, the Franklin Harvest Moon Festival Royalty Pageant was held Saturday at the Teche Theatre in Franklin. Winners pictured from left are Lil Miss Shining Star Haydee LaCoste, Miss Queen Taylor Perry and Teen Queen Kaityln Spradling. Other winners were Taylor Perry, masquerade evening wear; Casie Boudreauxk first maid, top interview, fall fashion and most photogenic; Kaitlyn Spradling, top interview, masquerade evening wear; Shawnee LaCoste, first maid and Teen Miss photogenic; Mallory Perry, fall fashion; Diamon Lewis, third maid and Haydee LaCoste, top interview, fall fashion, masquerade in party dress and Lil Miss photogenic. Judges for the event were Tammy Mars- Prine of Luling, La., Pamela Savoie-Hebert of Larose, La. and Corine Berthelot of Larose, La. At center, “Fit, Fun and Fabulous in Franklin” was held throughout the day Thursday, sponsored by Franklin Foundation Hospital, Teche Action Clinic and hosted by the City of Franklin. Of the many activities included, FFH’s Megan Bourg checks Josie Boatman’s blood pressure at the Lamp Lighter. At bottom, the Franklin Fire Department claimed the honors in the tug-of-war competition with Franklin Police Department held at the Franklin High School Stadium late that evening.
