Mayoral proclamation

Franklin Mayor Raymond Harris signed a proclamation last week designating Oct. 19 “Catholic Daughter Sunday” as established by the National Board of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas. The organization was established in 1903 and has been involved in social ministry, public policy and legislation and other aspects of the quality of life for families and children, as well as work with the poor, hungry and homeless.
