MLK banquet June 17

The MLK Committee Inc. announces its 21st Annual “What Manner of Man Awards” banquet scheduled for June 17 at the West St. Mary Civic Center.
This year the Martin Luther King Committee’s honorees are Rev. C.F. Smith Sr., Rev. Joseph Fields Sr. and Rev. Cornelius Lewis. Posthumous award will also be presented to the family of Rev. A.D. Teno and Rev. Willie J. Otis Sr.
Reservations are required as no tickets will be sold at the door. Ticket prices are $25 and $20 for senior citizens. Tickets can be purchased from any member or by calling Community Action Agency at 337-828-5703. Ticket sale deadline is June 13. Seating begins at 6:30 p.m. and the program begins at 7 p.m.
