Orientation scheduled at Morgan City High School

Morgan City High School students are to report to the school for orientation July 30 and 31.
Seniors will report at 8:30 a.m., juniors at 10:30 a.m. and sophomores at 1 p.m. on July 30.
Students will receive locker combinations, identification cards and a tentative schedule.
Freshmen and all new students report 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. July 31.
Freshman Day will include a welcome session from administrators, school tour, identification pictures, locker combinations and organizational information. Parents are encouraged to attend for the opening of the freshman session.
Dress code for orientation is school-appropriate casual attire.
The St. Mary Parish School Board has allocated funding to cover the annual $17.50 school fee for the locker, identification card and planner as well as the $5 science fee.
Parking permits will be sold for $5 to students able to show a valid driver’s license.
Freshman students can purchase their “Class of 2018” spirit shirts for $15. Limited quantities are available. Orders will be taken.
Open house is scheduled for Thursday, Aug. 14 at 6 p.m.
