Parish council to meet Wednesday
Members of the St. Mary Parish Council will meet in regular session Wednesday at 6 p.m.
Items on the agenda include:
—Introduction of ordinances rezoning property owned by Hebert Management & Land Co. at 401 Arlington St., Bayou Vista, from an existing neighborhood zone to general commercial for location of storage units; and property from the Shelia Tauriac, Diane Salone and Ada Pellerin estate at 879 Verdunville Road, Centerville, from a single family residential zone to existing neighborhood zone to allow for a mobil home.
—Introduction of an ordinance declaring certain real property as surplus.
—Resolutions opposing federal efforts to cut or eliminate military and veterans benefits; approving a professional services agreement on the 911 Center Wind Retrofit and Safe Room Project; executing an auditing service agreement with Advanced Utility Auditing on utilities and telephone expenses and a business associate agreement with HUB International Gulf South Limited on the use, disclosure, transmission, maintenance and/or creation of protected health information.
—Funding requests from City Court of Morgan City Juvenile Service Division in the amount of $7,000; and participation in Waterworks District 5 qualifying capital improvement projects.
The meeting will be held on the fifth floor of the courthouse in Franklin and is open to the public.
