Police Reports 8-14-15
St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division agents made several drug arrests Thursday.
Chase Bertrand, 29, of 507 Third St., Apt. A, Morgan City, was arrested at 5:21 p.m. on a warrant charging him with failure to comply with the terms and conditions of drug court, possession of oxycodone and fentanyl with intent to distribute, possession of Winstrol, possession of drug paraphernalia and violation of a drug free zone.
Leah Bourgeois, 38, of 507 Third St., Apt. A, Morgan City, was charged at 5:21 p.m. with distribution of oxycodone, intent to distribute oxycodone and fentanyl, violation of a drug free zone, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of Lioresal without a prescription.
Gia Gauthier, 52, of 712 Federal Avenue, Lot. A, Morgan City, was charged at 5:21 p.m. with possession of fentanyl and violation of a drug free zone.
Christen Brown, 34, of 1039 La. 70, Pierre Part, was charged at 3:04 p.m. with failure to signal a lane change, possession of oxycodone and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Narcotics Division detectives, with assistance of narcotics officers from the Morgan City Police Department, reportedly went to the residence of Bertrand and Bourgeois to serve an outstanding warrant and investigate information that prescription medication was being sold from the location. They observed a vehicle leave the residence and travel onto U.S. 90. The driver allegedly failed to signal a lane change and detectives conducted a traffic stop. Brown allegedly had several oxycodone pills in her purse. Detectives also reportedly located drug paraphernalia including a tourniquet, spoon and syringes. Detectives allege that the pills were purchased at the Third Street address. Brown was held without bond.
Detectives obtained a search warrant for the residence. Upon executing the warrant, Bourgeois, Bertrand and Gautier were reportedly located inside. A search of Gautier’s purse allegedly revealed a fentanyl patch. Gautier was reportedly unable to produce a prescription for the drug. Also, inside the residence, detectives reportedly located steroid pills (Winstrol), Lioresal pills, oxycodone pills, fentanyl patches, syringes and spoons. Detectives reportedly gathered additional evidence that Bourgeois and Bertrand were selling prescription medication from the location. The residence sits a few hundred feet from a Catholic church. No bonds were set.
In an unrelated arrest, Malissa Gill, 26, of 205 Brashear Ave., Room 224, Morgan City, was arrested today at 3:31 a.m. on a failure to appear warrant on a charge of domestic abuse battery, a warrant charging her with possession of meth, and was additionally charged with possession of Xanax and drug paraphernalia. No bond was set.
Franklin Police Chief Sabria McGuire reported the arrest of Sabrina Darby, 17, of Isabella Street, Franklin, Thursday at 4:20 p.m. on a Third Ward court failure to appear warrant on charges of aggravated assault, disturbing the peace and remaining where forbidden. No bond was set.
Donsaray Spain, 24, of Robertson Street, Franklin, was arrested Thursday at 10:05 p.m. on a charge of remaining where forbidden and held on $500 bond.
Keith Davis, 30, of Willow Street, Franklin, was arrested Thursday at 10:05 p.m. on charges of driving under suspension and no insurance. He was held on $1,250 bond.
