Sheriff's office conducts supply drive to help Claire House

During June, citizens, businesses and St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office employees contributed several items that were distributed to the Claire House Treatment Center in Bayou Vista, a sheriff’s office news release said.
This collaborative effort provided the treatment center with bed sheets, pillows, diapers, baby formula and food, kitchen supplies and various toiletry items. On behalf of Claire House, Sheriff Mark Hebert thanks all participants for their donations.
Claire House is the only treatment facility in the region that accepts women along with their children. The center uses individual, group and family counseling and 12-step self-help groups. Claire House is a disciplined environment where women and children receive state-of- the-art care to restructure their lives and live successfully, drug-free.
