St. Mary Parish's Most Wanted

New additions to January’s Daily Review Most Wanted edition include a 31-year-old Franklin man, a suspect in a Garden City burglary, and a 26-year-old Franklin man wanted in connection with a high-speed chase.
St. Mary Parish
Ricky Lee Tate Jr., 31, whose last known location is in the 4600 block of Irish Bend Road in Franklin, is wanted on a warrant for three counts of simple burglary, St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert said in a news release. Tate broke into a warehouse on La. 182 in Garden City, Hebert said. The investigation into the burglary began Dec. 18. Among the items taken were two power saws, copper pipe and brass fittings. Detectives identified Tate as one of two culprits in the case, Hebert said.
John Finister V, 20, of the 100 block of Chris Lane in Centerville, was arrested Jan. 6 on three counts of simple burglary for his involvement in the crime.
Tate has ties to the Franklin area, Hebert said. Anyone who may have information on Tate’s whereabouts is asked to contact the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office at 337-828-1960 or 985-384-1622.
Cody Paul Pearce, 25, whose last known address is River Road in Berwick, is wanted on a warrant for second degree battery. Pearce was first featured in December’s Most Wanted edition.
On Nov. 10, the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office received a report of a 16-year-old male who had been punched in the face and sustained a broken jaw as a result of the attack, St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert said in a news release. The investigation revealed that the incident occurred on Nov. 7 when the victim was visiting a friend’s residence on Hunting Road in Ricohoc. Pearce, who was also at the residence, pushed the victim and then punched him, Hebert said. Investigators received information that Pearce may possibly be in the Stephensville area, Hebert said.
Previously featured suspects Larry Dean Robertson Jr., Andre Jones and Belinda Ann Arceneaux are still wanted. Robertson is wanted for armed robbery and for failure to appear for simple robbery. Jones is wanted for failure to appear for criminal neglect of family. Arceneaux is wanted on six warrants for issuing worthless checks.
Franklin
Police are searching for Breonne Bowie, 26, whose last known address is in the 400 block of Lockett Road in Franklin. Bowie is wanted for aggravated obstruction of a highway of commerce, two counts of simple criminal damage to property, six counts of a stop and yield sign violation, suspension/revocation of driver’s license, speeding 55 mph in a 25 mph zone, flight from an officer, illegal possession of stolen things and no insurance.
The charges stem from an officer monitoring traffic in the area of Willow Street and Chatsworth Road, Franklin Police Chief Sabria McGuire said in a news release.
The officer attempted to execute a traffic stop on the vehicle, but the vehicle did not stop and continued through the city failing to stop at six stop signs. Bowie then pulled into a trailer park on Canal, and exited the vehicle which continued to roll forward into a trailer. Bowie fled on foot, and officers were unable to locate him, McGuire said.
The possession of stolen things charge is because the license plate was on the vehicle Bowie was driving was stolen, McGuire said.
Raynell Williams, 33, whose last known address is in the 200 block of Hanson Street in Franklin, is wanted on a warrant dated Oct. 3, for failure to register as a sex offender. Williams is 5 feet, 8 inches tall and weighs 145 pounds, according to McGuire. Williams was first featured in November. Eric Dennis, Lavonacheck Thomas and Tyrone Freeman are also still wanted.
Dennis, 28, whose last known address is in the 400 block of Ninth Street in Franklin, is 6 feet tall and weighs 160 pounds. He is wanted on a warrant for domestic abuse battery dated Aug. 31. Dennis also has warrants dated Sept. 22 for simple criminal damage to property and domestic battery. Dennis is wanted for warrants dated Sept. 23 for theft more than $500, simple criminal damage to property more than $500, and unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling.
Thomas, 27, whose last known address is Treuil Street in Franklin, is 6 feet, 1 inch tall and 172 pounds. Thomas has been on the Most Wanted list since September. He is wanted on several drug charges.
Tyrone Freeman, who has been on the Most Wanted list since December 2012, is wanted for illegal possession of stolen things. Anyone with information on these suspects may call Franklin police at 337-828-1716.
Morgan City
Police Department
Morgan City police are still trying to locate Barron F. Kenner, 40, of Morgan City, who is 5 feet, 10 inches tall, and weighs 230 pounds. He is wanted for attempted second degree murder, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and possession of a firearm in a firearm free zone. Kenner was first featured in October. The warrants stem from a shooting Oct. 21 when two people were injured after gunshots were fired near the intersection of Orange Street and Federal Avenue, Morgan City Police Chief Travis Crouch said.
The Oct. 21 shooting was an ongoing dispute believed to be about retaliation with victims also turning out to be suspects, Crouch said.
On Dec. 5, Eric Charles, 23, of Egle Street in Morgan City, was arrested on numerous drug charges in addition to the attempted second degree warrant after sheriff’s narcotics detectives conducted an investigation at a hotel in Morgan City.
On Dec. 17, St. Mary Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested Donald R. Brown, 30, of the 400 block of Fifth Street in Morgan City, on a warrant from Morgan City police for attempted second degree murder in connection with the shooting. He was also charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and violation of a firearm-free zone.
Brown and Charles originally were identified as the victims of the shooting. Brown sustained a non-life threatening wound to his side and was taken to Teche Regional Medical Center. Charles suffered a wound to his leg, Crouch said.
Mitchell Freeman, 50, whose last known address is in Benton, Ky., was first featured in December’s edition and is wanted on a warrant for forgery and theft. He is 6 feet tall and weighs 190 pounds.
On Dec. 6, Morgan City police began an investigation into a forgery and theft. The person depicted in a surveillance photograph was alleged to have committed the theft of a check from a local company and cashing it at an area bank in the amount of $4,800, Crouch said. Detectives were able to positively identify the suspect as Freeman.
John Joseph Marchetti, who was first featured in April, is wanted on two counts of theft more than $500 totaling $5,600, two counts of bank fraud and two counts of forgery.

Patterson Police Department
Marilyn D. Brown, who has been on the Most Wanted list since July, is wanted on warrants for possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of crack cocaine. Christopher S. Webb is wanted for distribution of cocaine. Webb has been featured since April.

Berwick Police Department
Police are still trying to find David Fanguy and Shaneal Juwayn Williams, who have been on the Most Wanted list since October 2012 and September 2012, respectively. Fanguy, of Dulac, is wanted for domestic abuse battery fourth offense. Williams, whose last known address is in Gibson, is wanted for hit and run, improper backing and expired driver’s license. Anyone with information on these suspects may call Berwick police at 985-384-7710.
Baldwin Police Department
Police are looking for Chasity Thomas, 26, of the 100 block of Inez Drive in Jeanerette, and is wanted on warrants for monetary instrument abuse, forgery and criminal mischief. Anyone with information on Thomas may call Baldwin police at 337-923-4845.
