Stop sign installed at Second and Freret streets

MORGAN CITY — City workers installed a stop sign at Second and Freret streets this morning so that all four corners surrounding Lawrence Park now have stop signs, Mayor Frank “Boo” Grizzaffi said.
The stop sign installations were part of a Main Street grant that included money to put in crosswalks and benches in the downtown area. The $35,000 grant also paid for maintenance at City Hall, which included landscaping, pressure washing, and painting, Grizzaffi said.
