An informational public meeting regarding the proposed Bayou Teche Flood Protection Structure will be held Tuesday.
The St. Mary Levee District will hold the hearing at 6 p.m. at the Chitimacha Tribal School Gym.
The structure consists of a steel swing gate and associated levees to provide food protection to a plus 10 feet elevation. It would be located along Bayou Teche at the Charenton Navigation and Drainage Canal at Baldwin near Victory Island.
