Mardi Gras krewes are making final preparations for their floats in what is a year-round process for many krewes, according to parade organizers.

Carnival season in the Tri-City area is in full swing with three Mardi Gras balls held and five more on tap. Six parades will be held from Feb. 28 through Fat Tuesday, March 4.
