St. Mary AARP presented King and Queen XXVI Victor and Linda Levron during its Mardi Gras ball Saturday at the St. Mary Senior Citizens Center in Morgan City.
King and Queen Nike XLIII Matthew Dehart and Julianna Hernandez were presented at the children’s Krewe of Nike ball Saturday at the Morgan City Municipal Auditorium. Theme of the evening was “Visit to the Land of Kandy!” with Dehart depicting King Kandy and Hernandez as Queen Frostine. The king is the son of Lance and Lindsay Dehart, and Danielle and Ken Ordoin. The queen is the daughter of Cecil and Kim Hernandez. The krewe will parade with the Krewe of Galatea on March 2 in Morgan City.

Mardi Gras in the Tri-City area is under way and the first ball of the season is Saturday. Seven balls will follow in consecutive Saturdays leading up to Mardi Gras.
