Brothers reflect on WWII service, meeting in Philippines after war

MORGAN CITY — Though Richard Romaire and Ferris Romaire served thousands of miles apart during World War II, the brothers reunited after the war ended when both were stationed in the Philippines.

St. Mary Central’s 10-year-old All-Stars won the District 3 Championship Tuesday after defeating Morgan City twice. St. Mary Central won by scores of 5-2 and 16-6 in five innings. Warren Easton overwhelms MCHS

NEW ORLEANS — Morgan City made its first postseason appearance since 2009 but ran into a talented Warren Easton squad Thursday, losing 85-30 in Class 4A first-round girls’ basketball action.
