Morgan City, Berwick stage homecomings
Morgan City and Berwick high school students are close to wrapping up homecoming celebration activities for the week ending on Saturday.
Students continue to participate in dress-up days daily. In addition, students are involved in special after-school activities that capture lasting high school homecoming memories.
Parades, dinners, football games and dances are some of the remaining events.
Morgan City activities
Thursday
—The parade is at 5 p.m. The route goes down Sycamore Street to Sixth and from Sixth to Hickory Street.
—Judging for the Jambalaya cookoff is at 5 p.m. The dinner will follow after the parade.
—Pep rally is in the multipurpose building at 7 p.m.
Friday
—Morgan City High vs. Cohen High football game at 7 p.m. The homecoming court will be introduced at halftime, and will close with the crowning of the queen.
Saturday
—Homecoming dance at 9 p.m. where the king will be crowned.
Morgan City High ladies of the court are Elizabeth Ramirez, Brandi Albarado, Alaina Deshotel, Paige Landry, Ali Tregle, Lauren Cheramie, Cassie Aloisio, Emily Boudreaux, Faith Crappell, Paige Loftin, Katelyn Gautreaux and Kortney Hillen.
Berwick activities
Thursday
—Parade begins at 4 p.m.
—Chili supper at 4:30 p.m.
—Senior presentation of flowers at 6:20 p.m.
—Pep rally at 6:30 p.m. followed by bonfire.
Friday
—Berwick High vs. Franklin High football game at 7 p.m. The homecoming court will be announced at halftime.
Saturday
—Homecoming court presentation at 8:30 p.m.
—Homecoming dance fol-lows the presentation. Doors close at 10 p.m. and reopen at 11:15 p.m.
Berwick High ladies of the court are Kennidy Adams, Carly Adydan, Sydney Aucoin, Lorin Baudoin, Morgan Boudreaux, Jenna Dreher, Rosalyn Gros, Emma Hover, Jordan Lipari, Mary Madeleine Morella, Olivia Orlando, Angelle Rachal and Mary Grace Theriot.
