Morgan City police will kick off a new neighborhood watch program Wednesday with a community meeting.
The meeting will start at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Morgan City High School and will discuss beginning a neighborhood in the area of the high school. Police will continue to hold meetings throughout the city, and will notify the public when meeting dates are set, Police Chief James Blair said.
Morgan City police have been in the process of trying to start the program for a while, and are now making it a reality, Blair said.
