The 2014 Leap and iLeap scores will not be released today as originally scheduled by the Louisiana Department of Education.
In a noon email corre-spondence from state Super-intendent John White, local educational leaders were informed that the individual student results will not be accessible to the school system via the secure online portal until Tuesday evening, according to St. Mary Superintendent Donald Aguillard
In light of the unanticipat-ed delay of test scores, Ac-countability Manager Robbi Gouaux said summer school letters will be printed as soon as scores are accessible to ensure adequate parental notice and teacher prepara-tion for the first day of sum-mer school slated for May 28.
Students in grades 4 and 8 who fail to attain promotional standards will need to attend the required summer remediation session and will have the opportunity to retest in July. Summer school sessions will be offered at four sites across the parish: Morgan City, Patterson and Franklin junior highs and B.E. Boudreaux Middle School.
Summer school is slated for May 28 to June 27 between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 12:15 p.m. each day.
A final report summarizing statewide results will be available sometime after districts and schools receive individual student scores.
