Patterson man on Most Wanted list arrested

Patterson police arrested a 30-year-old Morgan City man Wednesday who was featured in the September Daily Review Most Wanted list, according to Patterson Police Chief Patrick LaSalle.
St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s deputies arrested Alan Bennett, 30, of the 200 block of Murial Street in Morgan City, at 5:26 p.m. Wednesday at Bennett’s workplace, National Oilwell Varco in Amelia, LaSalle said.
Bennett was taken to the Patterson Police Department and booked on a warrant for simple battery. He was released on $396 bail.
The warrant stemmed from a Sept. 23 incident complaint of a fight on the corner of Martin Luther King Jr. and Myrtle Street. Upon arrival, officers noticed a male with facial and head injuries. The male stated Bennett had beaten him.
