Council to meet Wednesday

The City Council will meet at 6 p.m. Wednesday at the City Court Building. This meeting was supposed to take place Jan. 28, but was rescheduled due to the weather.
Items on the agenda include resolutions to elect a new mayor pro-tem, to amend the Rodemacher Unit No. 2 Power Sales Agreement, to support the Homeowners Flood Insurance Affordability Act, to submit an application to the Louisiana Department of Culture, Recreation, and Tourism to form a cultural district in the city, and to a bid tabulation for the police department roof.
Also on the agenda is the first reading of an ordinance to changing the zoning designation of 702 Youngs Road.
