MCHS Lady Tigers qualify for postseason

The Morgan City Lady Tigers’ soccer team qualified for postseason play in Division 2 as the No. 17 seed.
The Lady Tigers, who learned their postseason destination when the brackets were released Tuesday, will meet No. 16 seed Bolton, an Alexandria-based school, at 5:30 p.m. Friday.
Morgan City is one of four teams from its district to make the postseason, along with No. 4 seed Vandebilt Catholic, No. 8 E.D. White and No. 21 South Terrebonne.
Vandebilt Catholic and E.D. White both received first-round byes, while South Terrebonne will travel to play No. 12 West Ouachita.
The Morgan City Tigers are expected to learn their postseason fate today when the Louisiana High School Athletic Association releases the boys’ brackets for all divisions.
