Lavita Francis, 47, a resident of Morgan City, died Saturday, February 15, 2014 at 7 a.m., at Ochsner Medical Center in Jefferson, La.
Visitation will be Wednesday, February 19, at Jones Funeral Home in Morgan City, from 8 a.m. until funeral service at 10 a.m. Officiating will be the Rev. Calhoun.
Lavita leaves to cherish her memories her mother, Jackie Brown of Patterson; her husband, Earl Garrison of Patterson; a daughter, Mrs. Melvin (Keokia Johnson) Jones of Houston, Texas; two sisters, Mrs. Keith (Chorriss) Johnson of Patterson and Brittany Francis of Houston, Texas; a brother, Kuahn Francis (Felicia) of Indianapolis; loving devoted cousin; and friends, and hosts of nieces, uncles, and family.
Lavita was preceded in death by her grandparents, father, brother and uncles.
