Butterfly release set on May 10

Heart of Hospice will host a Celebration of Life Butterfly Release to remember and honor loved ones by dedicating a butterfly in their memory.
The event is on Saturday, May 10 from 10 a.m. to noon at Kemper-Williams Park in Patterson.
Butterflies traditionally are recognized as a symbol of hope, new life and resurrection, therefore they are the centerpiece of this celebration. Full of heart-felt music, crafts for young guests, the reading of names of those being remembered, followed by the release of butterflies and refreshments it will be held rain or shine.
“This celebration is designed to acknowledge that the connections we make in life don’t end with the death of a loved one,” said Bryan Johnson, Chaplain of Heart of Hospice “It is our hope that this event helps our communities continue to keep the stories of family alive.”
Everyone is welcome to dedicate a butterfly, not just those who have received hospice services. The dedication of a butterfly will assure you have a butterfly to release during the celebration as well as having your loved one’s name read aloud. You may include the name of a loved one to be honored without the purchase of a butterfly.

In addition you may register at the celebration until 9:45 a.m. As there is a limited number of butterflies purchasing early is recommended.
