DORRIS JEAN WILLIAMS-JANUARY

Dorris Jean Williams-January, 88, a native of Port Arthur, Texas and a resident of Berwick, died Saturday, May 10, 2014, at 9:08 p.m., at her residence.
Mrs. January was a member of the Church of Christ in Berwick. Dorris was employed and retired as a Surgical Technician at local hospitals in Port Arthur, Texas.
Visitation will be Saturday, May 17, 2014 at Jones Funeral Home in Morgan City, 715 Sixth Street, from 10 a.m. until the beginning of funeral services at 2 p.m., with Christopher DarDar officiating. Graveside and Committal Services will be held on Monday May 19, 2014 at the Greenlawn Memorial Park at 1 p.m., 3900 Twin City Highway, in Groves, Texas.
Mrs. January leaves to cherish her memories one son, Phillip Joseph January of Port Arthur, Texas; one daughter, Mrs. Gabriel (Vivian Elaine January)-Smith of Opelousas; a devoted caretaker and nephew Reverend Francis (Shirley) Sweet of Berwick; 14 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends.
Mrs. January was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two stepchildren, one brother, one sister and one grandchild.
