Elizabeth Marie Leonard
Elizabeth Marie Leonard, 81, a resident of Morgan City, passed away Saturday, July 12, 2014, at Teche Regional Medical Center.
Elizabeth was born on April 28, 1933, in Bayou Sorrell, the daughter of Casey and Martha Bozaon Persilver.
Elizabeth enjoyed playing bingo as well as crocheting, but most importantly, she loved spending time visiting and cooking for her family.
She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her husband, Amos Leonard of Morgan City; two sons, Leland Landry of Pierre Part, and Mark Landry and wife, Cindy, of Plaquemine; two daughters, Carla Boudreaux of Plaquemine and Amanda Leonard of Berwick; seven grandchildren, Kinsey Landry, Guilde Landry, Desirae Landry, Lezlie Landry, Candice Oufnac, Joseph Boudreaux and Erica Boudreaux; and three great-grandchildren, Addison Waldron, Trace Oufnac and Jesslee Oufnac. Elizabeth is also survived by two brothers, Frank Persilver and Douglas Persilver; and one sister, Joann Poston.
Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Guilde Landry; one grandson, Kyril Landry; one great-granddaughter, Brooklyn Landry; and nine brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be held at noon Tuesday, July 15, 2014, at Twin City Funeral Home with visitation being held from 9 a.m. until the time of the funeral. Elizabeth will be laid to rest in the Grace Memorial Cemetery in Plaquemine following the funeral services.
