DALLAS JOHNSON

Mr. Dallas Johnson, 62, a resident and native of Franklin, died Tuesday, July 29, 2014, at 4:55 p.m., at University Medical Center in Lafayette following a short illness.
He is survived by two sons, Kenneth Connor of Baldwin and Jason Mitchell of Dallas, Texas; three daughters, Rolander (Gary) O’Brien of Pearland, Texas, Crystal Francis of Columbus, Ohio and Deandra Charles of Jeanerette; one brother, Alvin (Eleanor) Small of Franklin; three sisters, Doris J. White, Dorothy (Grady) Jones and Emma Dell (Robert) Taylor, all of Franklin; his fiancée, Classie Charles of Jeanerette; and five grandchildren.
Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, four brothers, one niece and two nephews.
Visitations will be observed Saturday, Aug. 9, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., at Triumph Baptist Church.
Burial rites will be read Saturday, at 1 p.m., at that church, with officiating ministers, Apostle Albert White, Bishop Jules Anderson Sr. and the Rev. C.F. Lewis, pastor. Interment will follow in the St. Jules Cemetery in Franklin.
The Otis Mortuary of Franklin is in charge of preparations.
