Arrests reports

Berwick Police Chief James Richard reported the following arrest:
—Erik Escalante, 40, of Second Street in Berwick, was arrested at 8:43 p.m. Wednesday for domestic abuse battery and unlawful possession of fraudulent documents for identification. He was jailed.
St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert reported responding to 48 complaints in the parish and reported the following arrests in east St. Mary Parish:
—Randy G. Clark, 27, of the 100 block of Friendship Lane in Amelia, was arrested at 8:01 p.m. Wednesday on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of possession of drug paraphernalia and on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of illegal possession of stolen things. Clark was located and brought to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center by a bounty hunter and jailed with no bail set.
—Dion Maize, 22, of the 700 block of Sixth Street in Morgan City, was arrested at 9:20 p.m. Wednesday on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of speeding, failure to change address, and failure to honor written promise to appear. A deputy made contact with Maize while he was walking on Degravelle Road in Amelia. While speaking with Maize, the deputy learned of the active warrant for his arrest. Maize was jailed and released on $414.50 bail.
Franklin Police Chief Sabria McGuire reported the following arrest:
—Brandon Cormier, 31, of Railroad Avenue in Patterson, was arrested at 8:26 p.m. Wednesday on a warrant for 16th Judicial District Court for failure to appear on the charge of issuing worthless checks. Cormier was also arrested on a bench warrant for the City Court of Hammond for the charge of improper lane usage. Cormier was jailed with no bail set.
St. Martin Parish Sheriff Ronnie Theriot reported the following arrest:
—Joseph Acosta, 22, of the 600 block of Grove Street in Morgan City, was arrested for failure to appear and for issuance of arrest warrant.
Morgan City Police Chief Michael Banks reported no arrests.
Patterson Police Chief Patrick LaSalle reported no arrests.
