No area teams in prep polls

No local teams were ranked in the latest Louisiana Sportswriters Association prep football polls released this week.
While Patterson received votes a week ago, the Lumberjacks were not present this week after falling 49-28 to Class 5A Brother Martin in Week 1.
Brother Martin received 11 votes in this week’s poll.
Meanwhile, White Castle, who defeated Morgan City, 50-28 in Week 1, is ranked No. 9 in Class 1A.
Central Catholic, who defeated then-Class 2A’s ninth ranked squad in Loreauville, did not receive any votes this week.
Loreauville slipped out the top 10 and received 13 votes this week in Class 2A.
Morgan City’s opponent this week, Class 5A Central of Baton Rouge, received six votes in this week’s Class 5A poll.
Also, Central Catholic’s District 7-1A foe, Vermilion Catholic, is ranked No. 10 this week.
Warren Easton is Class 4A’s top-ranked squad, while John Curtis leads Class 3A. Mangham is Class 1A’s top squad.
